This Vendor Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between The Book of Melanin (“Platform”) and the registered Vendor (“Vendor”). By registering as a Vendor, you agree to the following terms:

1. Independent Business Status: Vendors listed on The Book of Melanin operate as independent businesses. Nothing in this Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between the Vendor and The Book of Melanin.

2. Vendor Responsibilities: Vendors agree to: Provide accurate business information Maintain updated contact details Fulfill all orders placed with their business Deliver products/services as advertised Handle shipping, delivery, and customer service Resolve customer complaints and disputes Honor refunds, exchanges, and service commitments Comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

3. Licensing & Legal Compliance: Vendors are responsible for maintaining: Business licenses Sales tax compliance Insurance (if applicable)Professional certifications (if applicable)The Book of Melanin does not verify licensing and is not liable for vendor legal standing.

4. Payments & Transactions: All payments, billing, and financial transactions occur directly between the Vendor and the customer unless otherwise stated. The Platform is not responsible for: Payment processing errors Chargebacks Non-payment Financial disputes.

5. Vendor Conduct: Vendors agree to conduct business professionally and ethically. Prohibited conduct includes: Fraudulent activity Misrepresentation Selling illegal or counterfeit goods Harassment or discrimination Failure to deliver promised goods/services.

6. Right to Removal: The Book of Melanin reserves the right to suspend or remove any Vendor who: Violates platform policies Receives repeated complaints Engages in unethical conduct Damages the reputation of the platform Removal may occur without prior notice.

7. Listing Accuracy: Vendors are responsible for ensuring that all product descriptions, images, pricing, and service details are truthful and current.

8. Agreement Acceptance: By registering and listing on The Book of Melanin, Vendors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Vendor Agreement.
